In October 2021, China exported 39,700 tons of ginger (unground ginger, the same below), a decrease of 3.81% compared with September 2021; $36.88 million, down 9.19%; Compared with October 2020, the export volume increased by 41.01%, the value decreased by 34.20%, and the average unit price decreased by 53.33%.
In October 2021, the export volume of ground ginger (see note at the end of article) was 837.54 tons; Month-on-month decline of 14.29% compared with September 2021; The amount was $2,175,400, down 6.39% from the previous month. Compared with October 2020, the volume of exports increased by 7.36% and the value decreased by 7.84%.
The top 10 countries that imported ginger from China in October 2021 were the United States, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan.
In October 2021, among the countries and regions importing ginger from China, the United States ranked first in terms of quantity, with 5,695 tons, up 90.94% year on year. The Netherlands came in second with 5,555 tons, down 14.21% year on year. Bangladesh ranked third with 3,603 tons, up 24.83% from the previous month.
